1. About these terms
These terms and conditions govern the use of the Ridgeline Carpentry & Construction website (the "Site") and the supply of carpentry, construction and conversion services by RCC Carpentry & Construction Ltd ("Ridgeline", "we", "us"). By using the Site or instructing us to carry out work, you accept these terms.
2. Quotations
All quotations are issued in writing and are based on the information available at the time of survey. Quotations are valid for 30 days from issue unless stated otherwise. Variations to scope require a signed change order before being carried out.
3. Acceptance & payment
A project is accepted by signed acceptance of our written quotation. Stage payments are aligned to clearly defined build milestones set out in your quotation. Payment terms and methods accepted will be detailed on each invoice.
4. Workmanship guarantee
We provide a 12-month workmanship guarantee on all projects from the date of practical completion, with extended cover available on roofing and structural elements as set out in your quotation. The guarantee covers defects in workmanship; it does not cover damage caused by misuse, third-party alteration, or normal wear and tear.
5. Cancellations
If you wish to cancel a project after acceptance, we will invoice for any materials already ordered and any work already completed up to the cancellation date. Where a 14-day statutory cooling-off period applies (consumer contracts entered into off-premises), we will honour your statutory cancellation rights in full.
6. Site access & safety
You agree to provide safe, reasonable access to the property during agreed working hours. Where access is restricted or working conditions are unsafe, programme dates may be adjusted. We carry full public liability and contractor's all-risks insurance, valid across our service area.
7. Permissions & consents
Unless explicitly included in your quotation, securing planning permission, Listed Building Consent, party-wall awards and any landlord or freeholder consents is the responsibility of the property owner. We are happy to coordinate with your appointed architect, planning consultant or surveyor.
8. Use of the website
Content on the Site is provided for general information only. We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate, but we make no warranty that it is error-free or up-to-date at all times. Photographs of completed projects remain our copyright unless agreed otherwise.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, our liability for any project is limited to the value of that project as set out in your accepted quotation.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
